Decent Turkish place but absolutely not worth the extra effort unless you are in the neighborhood and just must have Turkish food.

Very pleasant, low-key quite place for lunch with great Mesa and Okra and friendly warm service. Thank you for existing in this noise filled city!

Went there during lunch at the #140conf, hosted at 92nd Street Y. The waiter was super friendly and even let me recharge my laptop with one of their outlets (which was a savior). The food came out fast and hot, and the prix fix lunch came with more than enough food for the price.

Great ambiance and service. Food is straightforward but good and consistent. Go for the rice pudding and Turkish coffee.

We enjoyed the food very much. We both had a fish dish and they we're well prepared, flavorful, not overcooked and a good size. The lava cake desert was a perfect ending. The setting is nice and cozy, if a bit dark. The service was efficient without being overbearing. Well done.

I take my family to this lovely place quite often! This is the best place to to have a good dinner. I go there at least once a month. The food is very good, the staff members are friendly and the prices are reasonable. I like meeting in this restaurant for a good lunch.

I spent 1985 in Turkey, and I fell In love with the food while there. Unfortunately I have found only a few Turkish restaurants in the United States. Peri Ela is the first I have found outside Turkey that has cacık on the menu. That was all it took for me to experience joy.

This lovely upper east Turkish establishment is perfect for a fancy night, an elegant night, a night to remember. While it is not cheap, you are paying for ambiance, service, and location.

Make sure to have your receipt!!!! they add tip amount without your permission!!! they are So rude and the food was very bad, they asked me to pay after 2minute, even I didn’t start eating yet, and the waiter was asking to pay every few minutes and she didn’t want me to finish my food first, so I didn’t leave a tip and the surprise was she back to me and said “you have to leave a tips†when asked her about the reason she said you looks like new in states and here we used to leave a tip!!!! She start arguing with me to take the tips, even the food if you been in turkey before you will know what I mean by Turkish food, they are mixing anything with some hot pepper and fry it!!!! It’s weird place, so bad experience

This place has pretty good food, albeit a bit pricey. The ambience is very romantic, dimly lit, a bit older of a crowd. The space is very small and quiet.

Nice Turkish restaurant the food was good but I was expecting a lot of Turkish desserts which they don’t have.A good restaurant, but I was disappointed because I expected to have Turkish sweets, such as baklava, kenafah, and Asmaliyah, but unfortunately.

Not too impressed. I have been spoiled by the Turkish restaurants in London. Ordered the mixed grill plate and included with the meats were cubed potato home fries (type you would get out of a freezer bag) and some uninspired white rice. The hummus was the one bright spot. Still looking for a good Turkish restaurant in New York.

Very expensive, good.

Longtime UES restaurant/bar. Definitely worth a visit. Reasonable Prices for Tasty Food. No reason not to come here, it's a little quieter than many new Mediterranean places nearby, and just as good, for less money.

Great ambiance. Attentive, non-intrusive service. Excellent food. Small space, seldom crowded. Prix fixe offering.

Lady at the counter is rude.

Not so bad.

The food was solid, probably 4 stars. The wine list however was quite underwhelming, with ridiculous markups. It will hurt business that Peri Ela sells wine that retails $7 to $12 for $42 to $54.

Good to much burn. Ask about medium bring me super well done stake. If eat without meat should be fine. Small room.

Possibly the worst Turkish food in the city with one of the coolest and best atmospheres. A shame considering all it could be.
